Straight talk about the world’s transition from fossil fuels to renewables with energy expert Chris Nelder.
What is the Energy Transition Show?
The world’s energy systems, which have always been slow to change, are undergoing an unprecedented era of rapid transformation. Fossil fuel companies are producing resources considered uneconomic a decade ago, yet they’re also under fire by everything from climate policy to market prices to disruptive innovations in renewable power and grid services. Utilities are being compelled to shut down big coal and nuclear plants, and adopt distributed energy resources like efficiency, demand response, and rooftop solar. These rapid changes call for new business models, and raise all sorts of issues related to technical integration challenges, outdated regulatory models, and much more. And all of this is taking place while the global economy itself is experiencing some unprecedented situations, like exploding debt, record-low interest rates, rapidly changing currency valuations, and new geopolitical dynamics.
The Energy Transition Show covers the full range of energy transition globally, including grid power, all fuels (including oil, gas, coal, nuclear, solar, wind, and other emerging renewables), transportation systems, macroeconomics, and more. Featuring interviews with some of the smartest and most knowledgeable people in energy, longtime energy expert Chris Nelder explores the global energy markets and their ongoing transition away from fossil fuels and toward renewables.
By engaging experts in a neutral, fact-based discussion about the difficult (even unanswerable) questions, rather than reinforcing preconceived answers, and highlighting the latest news and research, policy developments, and market events, the Energy Transition Show stimulates your thoughts and creativity, points the way to new opportunities, and gives you a new perspective on the world’s largest and most fundamental industry.
